Vintage Floral Multistrand Beaded Necklace from the American Southwest. Native American Beadwork. 1940s
This beautiful multi-strand necklace dates from the late 30s-early 40s and comes from the American Southwest. This cheery, summery piece has so much life in it yet, and only needed a little care and cleaning to make it perfect to wear now. Six strands of lovely floral beadwork in bright white and robins' egg blue make up this choker. Measuring 15" or 38cm this will fit close to the throat on many people-- see how it hangs on my mannequin which is a size UK 14 with a 15" neck.
This necklace closes with a brass hook and eye claps which has some patina-- I haven't cleaned this as I feel it adds character to the piece.
